“Come and go with me to my Fathers’ house.” Remember that old song? With this new series Pastor is teaching on Heaven, I remember how we use to sing about heaven and meeting our relatives on that beautiful shore. I think as we get closer to the return of our wonderful Lord Jesus we should get excited about discovering what He has prepared for us to enjoy with Him and all those who call on Him; Lord Jesus, Master, Savior, King of Kings, Lord of Lord, Lamb of God,
Beloved ….It’s an abiding truth that when you “turn your eyes upon Jesus and look full in His wonderful face, the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.”
As we think about our Heavenly Home and realize that we are designed for ‘glory” and the beauty and perfection of Heaven, we can understand why we are uncomfortable with all the discord, ugly behavior and condition of some of our surroundings. The Lord knows firsthand and understands about all that we encounter, because He experienced it all when He walked among us. However, “Because He lives, we can face tomorrow, “ with joy and great expectations.
As we learn more about what the Bible says about Heaven, it gives us great hope and information to share with friends and family. We all know we are going somewhere when we die, but where? Thank you Jesus, You have prepared a place for us more beautiful and more exciting than anything we could even imagine. No more fluffy clouds and harps, but incredible beauty, and a totally fulfilling existence. God’s family living in harmony, enjoying fellowship with Father, Son and Holy Spirit and all the rest of His incredible creation.
Thank you Lord, for all the new people last Sunday. Let’s keep praying and inviting.
As a child I heard this a lot and have yet to figure out what it meant. I guessed it was frustration because of something I did wrong or didn’t do. Now, I wonder if they even knew what they were expressing.
Heaven is a subject we are fascinated with but don’t really know a lot about. It’s a very important subject because it has to do with our eternal life. Like most people we saw pictures of clouded and angles and we wondered and thought “lovely but boring. Have you ever had someone ask “will my pet go to heaven”, or will I know my family in heaven? “ Did you know how to answer them?
Heaven is where we all believe we will be going, so why don’t we know more about it? Good question. Pastor Chris will be teaching us what the Bible tells us about our heavenly home. The enemy I believe works overtime to keep us from the revelation of God’s perfect provision. God’s original creation was pretty spectacular and I think our next habitation will be beyond our imagination, as it reflects His love and personal concern for each one of His blood bought children.
This subject of Heaven is one that everyone is interested and a wonderful opportunity to invite people to come to hear what Pastor will be sharing. Also there are the three home groups that will be gathering to give opportunity for people to ask question and share on a more personal level .

Let’s continue to pray for Pastor Chris as he finishes his ministry in India and travels his 22 hour trip home.
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;
First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people, 2 for [a]kings First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions and all who are in [positions of] high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This [kind of praying] is good and acceptable and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,

If there was ever a time to “call the watchman” it is now. We have our precious Pastor ministering in some very dark places. We know that he is a “sent one” and has Gods authority to minister to all that He encounters, however, we have the privilege of being His back up in prayer. His schedule is booked heavily with pastoral conferences and street ministry. “ Father, we plead the Blood of Jesus Christ over Pastor and the team as they bring the Word of Life and Freedom to those in bondage. Give strength and wisdom for those who are ministering to such deep need. We pray for encouragement and courage for hearts who are beginning their personal walk with you, Jesus. Father we know we have no real understanding of the darkness they face but we do know that you are LIGHT AND LIFE. Pastor Chris and the team are sent to penetrate the darkness and proclaim your authority and power. Encourage, strengthen and refresh them.
Here at home, the need for prayer is so vital. God has allowed President Trump to hold this place of power and authority. Pray for peace and freedom from oppression both foreign and domestic. The Church must answer the challenge to support in prayer those in all positions of authority. Father, we pray for wisdom and courage for each one, may they seek you for help and listen. Holy Spirit, protect and guide those who hold this overwhelming responsibility to govern this Country under God.
Our God is an awesome God, He reigns with power and might.

At the multi church meeting it was mentioned that the Lord was going to be “refilling” his people At that time I had a picture in my mind of a hand holding out a cup to be refilled. When a person came to refill the cup, they put their other hand out over the cup indicating, “no thank you”. I have puzzled over this and would love to know what the Lord is saying. Do we want a refill?
I remember a song we use to sing: “Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up Lord, come and fill the thirsting of my soul. Bread of heaven feed me till I want no more. Fill me up, fill my cup and make me whole.”
Is this the cry of our hearts? As an older person, I can feel the need to grow closer and closer to the Lord, preparing to meet my Maker, but for our younger ones, it must be so difficult to lay aside all the distraction and temptations that the enemy has the marketplace offering them . More than ever, we need to be praying for and encouraging each other. How can we develop a real thirst for the Lord’s presence in our lives? I saw a picture on face book that really said it all. Blessings.
