When God’s People Pray: A 6-week DVD series by Jim Cymbala

Prayer can change lives and circumstances like nothing else can. What are the keys that unlock its power, that turn prayer from a mere activity into a vital link with God and all His resources? This series offers principles for growth in prayer and seeking God with passion, focus and faith.
The Blessed Life: A 6-week DVD series by Robert Morris
Teacher: Daniel Parvu | Room 103 | Sundays Only
Our culture is saturated with false teaching on what it means to be blessed, but what does the Bible say about it? How can we truly live blessed lives? In this series, Pastor Robert Morris presents the secrets of living a blessed life both financially and spiritually. He shows that when God changes your heart from selfishness to generosity, every part of your life-journey is affected.
Looking for something to do? The Lawrence Engage Group hosts this night of fun and games (and snacks) on the fourth Friday of the month, and everyone is invited. Bring a snack to share if you’d like and your favorite board game and join us, Friday, April 28th at 6:30 PM in the Community Center, room 101.
The grill will be fired up after service on Sunday, April 30th, for a delicious fundraising lunch for our kids and youth. The proceeds from this event will help fund Day Camp families in need and help our youth go to summer camp in CA. Have a burger for a good cause!
Home on the Way is a local ministry to some of our neighbors in our valley who are in desperate need. Each month, a team from SWC serves at HOTW, sharing a delicious dinner and the love of Christ with the people who gather there. The next Home on the Way outreach is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2nd. You’re invited to meet at the 100 kitchen at 2 PM to help prepare the meal and/or leave with the team at 4:15 PM to minister and serve at the HOTW campus.
Here’s a great opportunity to gather with other SWCers for prayer on Saturday, May 6th, 5 PM-6 PM in the sanctuary. This is a time for personal contemplation as well as corporate prayer together. If you’ve never attended a prayer gathering, you can know that there’s no pressure for anyone to have to pray in front of the group. We want to ask the Lord for His help in our community, our city, for other churches in our valley, as well as for our own lives. Additionally, we can prepare our hearts for worship on Sunday in this peaceful environment.
