Our Tuesday AM women’s Bible Study group will begin Beth Moore’s 11-week DVD series, David: Seeking a Heart Like His on Tuesday, September 12th, and you’re welcome to join us. We’ll gather in Room 105 at the SWC campus, 9:30 AM-11:00 AM and begin an exploration into the life of David, the man “after God’s own heart.”
Thrive class schedule:
Thrive classes have resumed, but it’s not too late to join. Classes meet each Sunday from 9:00 AM-9:40 AM. Here are the current series topics:
Let’s take a fresh look at four of the world-changing but lesser-known disciples, Philip, Andrew, Bartholomew and Thomas. This class will offer the use of Scripture and Biblical history to expand our knowledge about these men, their moment of calling and how they impacted the world following the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Pastor Bill Harper will facilitate this 4-session class.
“The Invisible War”
Spiritual warfare is part of life. It’s time for believers to raise the shield of faith in their daily lives and situations. This series draws on Ephesians 6 and explores a biblical view of spiritual warfare and how to prayerfully defend ourselves and our families. Alex Polmans will facilitate this 8-session dvd series by Chip Ingram.
Sundays, 9:00 to 9:40 am.
Student ministry is alive and well at SWC. We are about equipping and training young people to grow and thrive in God while living in the real world. It’s our purpose to inspire students to impact their environment and reach out to those around them with the message of God’s love. At SWC, students can find a place where they are known, challenged and encouraged in their walk with the Lord.
Fusion youth ministry is led by Pastor Christine Martin and Tim Bakies. Fusion gathers on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM in 201 for their mid-week service. Their UPS Human Video/Drama Troupe meets at 5:30 PM in the sanctuary and is led by Tim Bakies. Each Fusion service is a mixture of live worship, biblical teaching and relational connections, specifically designed for Middle School and Sr. High students.
Junior shares his thoughts on life, heaven and the journey we are all on.
Fusion Youth meet for Bible study and coffee on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM in the Office Conference room. This group is for all students in 7th through 12th grade. Bring your Bible and your favorite coffee mug–the Keurig will be ready to go..
At SWC, we are excited about ministry to children, and we’re passionate about assisting you in their spiritual growth and discipleship. There is nothing boring about life with God, and we want children to experience the great adventure found in embracing His purposes for them and His love in their lives. Our Children’s Ministry department is led by Lenny Corliss, our Children’s Pastor, and Bill Harper, Pastor of Family Ministries and Director of Early Childhood Ministries.
Each Sunday morning at 10 AM, elementary-aged children meet in room 204 for their worship service. His Kidz is a high-impact worship service designed specifically for kids in first through sixth grade. This children’s church provides an age-appropriate service, including Bible lessons, praise and worship, puppet skits, dramas, Bible quizzing and object lessons. It’s our goal to make their time in His Kidz one of their favorite things they do all week, while impacting them with the truth of God’s Word and His incredible love for them. Join us in the His Kidz’ auditorium this Sunday.
Babies and toddlers gather in the 300 building, the first building south of the sanctuary. These precious little ones are served by a dedicated staff of fun and loving teachers who lead them in songs, playtime and visual learning.
