Creative arts are a powerful way to express the message of the Gospel. The UPS (Uniquely Presenting Salvation) Drama team is open to students in 7th-12th grade, and they’re led by Tim Bakies. During the school year, UPS meets for practice on Wednesday nights at 5:30 PM in the main sanctuary.
Kids Thrive every Sunday at SWC! Ministry Through the Arts offers children in K-6th grade an opportunity to develop their creative gifts for God’s glory. This program offers ministry training in Worship Dance or the Chosen Kids’ Choir, Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM in the His Kidz auditorium, room 204.
Adult singles make up a large part of our SWC family. They gather for dinner and Bible study, facilitated by Lucy Lawrence. The adult singles are service-minded and regularly active in helping the church fellowship and surrounding community through missions outreaches and visitation.
We have a great group of women at SWC who come from different backgrounds and face different challenges, yet we find our common ground in Christ. Tuesdays at SWC are about sharing God’s Word and sharing life together.
I Thessalonians 2:8, “we loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel . . .but our lives as well . . . .”
