Gather together with fellow crafters and create items for the homeless and other needs. Meets Thursdays at 6:00 pm in room 203.
In SWC small groups, people study God’s Word together and discuss life’s issues and challenges. It’s also where they pray, care for each another and are missed if they don’t show up. It’s about discipleship and sharing life, with its ups and downs, together. SWC’s small groups meet on and off campus, and include bi-monthly Engage groups, Activity groups and weekly Bible studies. We believe that effectual, lasting life change can happen in the context of spiritual community. Small groups provide the kind of environment where people are invited to discuss, ask questions and grow together in the Lord.
Our college and young adults meet together once a month on Sunday at 12:00 PM for food and study (and sometimes a game of Pit) at the Wilsons’ home (Cave Creek & Sweetwater) or the Harpers’ home (Tatum Blvd. & Paradise Lane). Please contact us for more information and specific directions.
Our South Valley Engage group meets on Sundays at 4 PM and is hosted by Nancy Hickman and led by Roberta Stultz. The cross streets are McClintock and Southern. Please contact us for specific directions or more information.
Stan & Pat Kinworthy lead an Engage group at the SWC Campus on the 2nd & 4th Sunday of each month at 5:30 PM. Currently, they’re studying along with the sermon series. Contact us for more information.
Prayer is vitally important to the ministry at SWC. There are two weekly prayer groups that meet at the SWC campus, as well as a monthly Awake prayer & worship night on the first Saturday of each month. Here’s the schedule. If you’ve never attended one of these prayer times, you can know that in this peaceful environment, there’s no pressure for anyone to have to pray in front of the group. It’s a great time to prepare our hearts for corporate worship on Sunday and engage in personal reflection and seeking the Lord together.
Tuesday Morning Men’s Study, led by Pastor Chris Harper
Our Bible studies are made up of men and women who come from different backgrounds and face different challenges, yet we find our common ground in Christ. These groups are about sharing God’s Word and sharing life together.
I Thessalonians 2:8, “we loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel . . .but our lives as well . . . .”
