Adult singles make up a large part of our SWC family. They gather for dinner and Bible study, facilitated by Lucy Lawrence. The adult singles are service-minded and regularly active in helping the church fellowship and surrounding community through missions outreaches and visitation.
In SWC small groups, people study God’s Word together and discuss life’s issues and challenges. It’s also where they pray, care for each another and are missed if they don’t show up. It’s about discipleship and sharing life, with its ups and downs, together. SWC’s small groups meet on and off campus, and include bi-monthly Homelinks meetings, Life groups and weekly Bible studies. We believe that effectual, lasting life change can happen in the context of spiritual community. Small groups provide the kind of environment where people are invited to discuss, ask questions and grow together in the Lord.
“You’ll fit right in”
We have a great group of women at SWC who come from different backgrounds and face different challenges, yet we find our common ground in Christ. Tuesdays at SWC are about sharing God’s Word and sharing life together.
I Thessalonians 2:8, “we loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel . . .but our lives as well . . . .”
The Engage Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sunday night of every month at the SWC campus, and you are welcome! Stan and Pat Kinworthy and Larry and Gail Anderson facilitate this gathering.
Throughout the year at the beginning of every month, SWC gathers for prayer together. This is a comfortable setting and there is time for personal reflection as well as corporate prayer, though there is no pressure to pray in front of the group. This monthly gathering is in the sanctuary from 5 pm-6 pm on the first Saturday of every month.
