Throughout the year at the beginning of every month, SWC gathers for prayer together. This is a comfortable setting and there is time for personal reflection as well as corporate prayer, though there is no pressure to pray in front of the group. This monthly gathering is in the sanctuary from 5 pm-6 pm on the first Saturday of every month.
Saints on Standby is a ministry to the SWC family that provides a variety of helps ministry to those in crisis. SOS offers bereavement support, light household help, basic home repair, meal preparation and visitation and homebound ministry. Connie Tiffany leads this ministry group. There are so many ways to get involved at SWC, and we’d like to help you find a place of meaningful ministry. Let us know if you’d like to get connected with volunteering.
SWC’s missions program began almost immediately after the planting of the church. We believe strongly in missions. If you were to visit our sanctuary, you would notice a statement painted on the back wall. Written there are the words, “You are now entering God’s mission field” over the exit doors. Everything outside the four walls of the church is our mission field, and we are committed to sharing the love of Christ with people, whether they are around the world or across the street. SWC’s mission outreach is by Larry Anderson. SWC invests in various ministries around the globe – including University campus outreach in Arizona and Colorado, supporting an orphanage in Mexico, building churches and water wells in India, and a ministry-training school in Ecuador.
