June 7, this Sunday, we will be gathering on campus again! We can't wait to see you!

Thank You Lord, for Christmas

Thank you, Lord for Christmas and all Christmas’s past, of which there have been many.  Great memories, I especially appreciate the music of Christmas.  The classic Christmas Carols.  We sang them every year, in church service and Christmas programs, school Christmas programs, on the radio or we went out caroling with friend.

At the time it was just what we did.  We weren’t always very attentive to the words or the depth of truth that they portrayed.   “God rest ye merry gentleman let nothing you dismay,  Joy to the World the Lord has come,  Oh come let us Adore Him, Away in a manger, Hark the Herald Angles sing,  Oh little town of Bethlehem,  Silent Night, Oh come all ye faithful.  Each song magnifying the Lord.

We didn’t realize the sacred truth that was a musical foundation of our holiday.  The words of the songs were ingrained in our memory.  Thank you, Father God, for my family that believed in the Jesus, born in Bethlehem so long ago. Then teaching and encouraging the truth of the Bible to became part of my normal everyday life.   Little did we realize that what was so normal for us then would not be as common in days to come.  Who knew or expected things could change so drastically in so few short years?

However, Praise God the Church, God’s people, are still worshiping Him and joyfully singing that He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.   The true Spirit of Christmas is alive and well in the hearts of those who call Him Lord.  So, we keep singing, worshiping and believing in the Christ of Christmas.   Oh, come let us Adore Him, Christ the Lord. Merry Christmas!
