We will gather ONLINE ONLY this Sunday @ 10:00 am

New Every Morning

What if we could start new every morning? No hang over from yesterday and no fears or expectations about tomorrow?    How would you feel? Lost? Probably….Where to start?  What do I want?  What if I could have anything I wanted?    OK, maybe that’s going back to far.   What if it was like, "I just got my biggest wish come true"?    A new car…. A new special friend…. a new job…. a house .... a first date..

I’m pretty sure that would be about all I would be thinking about.   Just remember the excitement, the expectations of new experiences.  The hope and dreams of discovering new possibilities and adventures….    It seems to release endorphins that bring joy and excitement.   All that can happen when we put our mind to it.  When we choose to believe or invest in a hope, a plan, a Word.    Believing is a powerful truth.  It’s more than just thinking it’s so; it is an investment of mind and heart.    The enemy can suggest something and when we buy into it, it’s ours.  Then we get to deal with the consequences.   What if we would take time to ask the Lord if it’s true, before we invest in what we have heard, before we believe.   If Father doesn’t confirm, we just stamp it “reject”.

Anyway, back to our Joy and Peace in Believing. (Romans 5:13)   Learning to trust and develop the joy of expectation in what the Lord is doing in your life.  Each morning I believe He has something special for each of us.  I believe He is full of surprises and blessings and just waiting for us to ask, seek and receive, believing His love and mercies are new and fresh for this new day. Maybe it's time that we expect more of a response when we ask, and invest the time it takes to be receptive to the voice of the Holy Spirit.  I believe He is always speaking when my heart is listening.    Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him. (Ps.34:8)

Lamentations 3:22-26  "It is because of the Lord’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because His tender compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness. 'The Lord is my portion and my inheritance,' says my soul; 'therefore I have hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him.'”  The Lord is good to those who wait (confidently) for Him, to those who seek Him (on the authority of God’s word).  It is good that one waits quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
Let's expect to hear what is on His heart for us today.
