Compassion Connection - Ecuador

An Update from Steve and Sandi

We definitely hit the ground running here in Ecuador. Just got back last night from our coastal training. It was wonderful. We taught three main themes: New Testament Survey, The Devotional Life of the Leader, and Evangelism in the Local Church. It was very well received and we are already seeing fruit in the lives of those that are attending. Below are a few pictures of the training.

Compassion Connection and Steve and Sandi Youngren, Ecuador

Steve & Sandi Youngren founded Compassion Connection in 1997, first in Mexico and then in Ecuador, where they’ve served since 2004. Compassion Connection’s purpose is well-stated in these three directives: Planting Churches, Training Leaders and Restoring Communities.

Compassion Connection is committed to train local pastors in biblical and practical ministry to their communities. Because Compassion Connection’s desire is to see communities restored, part of their outreach includes free medical clinics and the provision of fresh water and food to anyone in need. They work to equip local churches in Ecuador to minister to issues of poverty, injustice and disease, so prevalent in their nation. But through the compassion of Christ, Compassion Connection is making a difference in Latin America.

"Él que quiere venir en pos de mí, nieguese a sí mismo, tome su cruz, y
sígame. Porque el que quiere salvar su vida la perderá, pero el que pierda
su vida por causa de mí y del evangelio la salvará"... Cristo (Marcos
8.34-35)

"If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross
and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever
loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it."... Jesus (Mark
8.34-35)
