Summer of Joy
A Walk through Philippians

If you’ve ever spent part of your summer at a carnival or theme-park, you know their purpose is to excite and thrill. We go to there to laugh, have fun, and experience something like joy.   

But real life isn’t a carnival, as the song said.  When our daily experience feels like a tilt-a-whirl, when circumstances turn unexpected and frightening, how do we re-orient? 

Come with us this summer as we experience the joyful atmosphere of the Book of Philippians with Jesus and Paul. 

In the chaos, there is a bedrock of joy that doesn’t change—it’s found in knowing Christ. 
Because Christ is King, we can see beauty in our lives, hope for our circumstances, and peace and grace in the unknown and unfinished. 

For all those who are quietly exhausted, or those striving to keep going, the let’s find new strength together.  
Because to know Jesus is to know joy.
