Always the Same

“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”

What a great reminder of God’s promises to us. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He doesn’t change. He isn’t a dirty politician, he can’t be swayed or bought. He isn’t that friend that lied to you, that spouse that hurt you, that boss that promised a promotion and didn’t give it to you. God is full of love for you. He doesn’t promise you something and then not fulfill it. Sometimes there’s a time of waiting, a time of having faith. If God says he will do something, he will do it! Just because someone has hurt you, you feel alone, or you feel defeated, it doesn’t mean God did this to you. God is always there for you. He loves you and wants a relationship with you. If someone has wronged you, turn to God, pray, seek him and you will find him. He will comfort you, he will love you, he will give you strength. When it seems like the world around you is failing, God will never fail! Remember that, know that, and let it sink into your spirit. When the time is right, when it aligns with God’s will, he will make it happen.
