Looking Down

Sometimes we go through life and we have struggles. We have pain. We may even feel alone. We might even feel like no one cares. This is far from the truth. God is always there, he looks down from Heaven and he sees us. What this tells me is God loves us, he is interested in what’s going on in our lives, and he cares for us. If this wasn’t true, why would he spend his time observing us? I would imagine when we are going through difficult times, he is watching and waiting, waiting for us to call out to him, to tell him we can’t do it on our own and we need him. He doesn’t force himself on us. He wants a relationship with us, but he also wants us to want to have a relationship with him. When we are doing great, just got that promotion, just met the person of our dreams, purchased our first house, graduate, or have the best news, he is there. He wants to spend that time with you as well. Take a moment in that space and praise him and thank him for all he’s doing in your life. Through the ups and downs, good times and bad, he is ALWAYS there. He notices you, he sees you, and he’s interested in you! The Creator of the Universe knows you by name, you are so important to him that he knows your name! Remember that today. God loves you, he is looking out for you, and he is there for you through it all. Take time today to reflect on what that means, and acknowledge him for the things he’s doing in your life. Big or small, he’s there for it all! I encourage you to take some time today to ponder what that looks like in your life and give him thanks.
